• To be walking fit.
• A good pair of walking shoes - no flip-flops.
• A water bottle - we will refill at the local mountain stream which is ice cold
and great tasting.
• An extra T-shirt - optional for those hot days.
• +- 1hr to get up to the Castle.
• Approximately 45min-1 hour inside the castle.
• Approximately 45 minutes rest at the walking hut for refreshments.
• Meet at 8:45 am at Britanski trg, aka British Square under the clock tower for the start of hike. Or predetermined time.
• Total time expected for the total experience +- 4 - 4.5 hrs.
• Entrance fee into the castle.
• Bus tickets to the start of the walk +- 12-minute ride.
• One beverage - beer, cold drink, coffee, tea etc. at the local mountain hut.
A slow-paced, leisurely walk through a stunning trail path covered with majestic tree rooftops. A winding stream enlightens the senses and cools us down, eventually reaching the most enchanting castle with abundant views of Zagreb city and the very densely populated vast forest.
The interactive experience within the castle gives us a feeling of how it must have been to live under the very cruel Black Queen's rule.
Then after our castle experience a short 20-minute walk to a nearby traditional wooden hiking hut encased by the forest to relax and put the feet up a while before heading back down.
